Tesla guy with a gun could face multiple felony charges
The infamous local man in Gilbert, AZ who pulled his gun on skateboarders last month could face multiple felony charges, according to the full police report.
If you didn’t see the viral videos last month of a couple of skateboarders in a Church parking lot in Gilbert, AZ get confronted by an old guy in a Tesla who pulled into the lot randomly and then pretty quickly pointed his gun at them for some reason, watch it here before you continue reading.
It immediately blew up and Gilbert Police Department was able to track the man, Bernardo Aillon, down and seized his gun.
In an interview with local Fox 10 Phoenix, Aillon admitted he pulled his gun on the guys because they were being “defiant” and that he believed police were coming after him with potential felony charges because he’s a Trump supporter.
He also claimed he had no intention to shoot them.
As it turns out, Aillon told Gilbert PD a different story, according to the police report.
Aillon is now potentially facing multiple felony charges.
Two counts for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a class 3 felony
One count for possessing a deadly weapon on school grounds1, a class 6 felony
The police report says:
It was discovered the building involved in the incident is Lexington Life Academy. At 1204 hours, I spoke with the director of the academy, Robert Gilmore. Robert explained the building is leased from Compassion Church and serves as a full-time school for students with autism.
Aillon told police he was aware the location was used for a school and when asked if the gun was loaded he said yes and that there was a bullet in the chamber.
After the incident, the school moved.
Some other noteworthy excerpts in the police report:
When Aillon pulled out his gun –– a semi-automatic Glock model 26 9 mm –– the victim in the video apparently shouted, “You're not a fucking cop man you don't gotta pull a gun out on people.”2
Aillon said he approached the male subjects that were skateboarding because they were “trespassing.” Aillon is not a member of the church and the report states he “has no legal authority over the property.”
Aillon claimed he pulled out his gun because he felt threatened that one guy “was going to hit him with the skateboard.” The police told him there was no indication that was going to happen in the video evidence they reviewed. Not to mention he told the local news something completely different.
Aillon also apparently followed them for several minutes after they left, but he didn’t acknowledge as such in his interview.
The report will now go to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office for potential felony charges. Aillon has not been arrested.
It doesn’t need to be said, but I’ll do it anyway… bringing a loaded gun to a school! Especially given everything in the country.
The quotes vary to this effect from other witness testimonies.
